The Brief:
Christchurch City Council requested concepts for engaging, interesting, collaborative, locally crafted installations for Tirama Mai - a lighting festival in the Christchurch Central City.
The Solution:
We really wanted an installation that appealed to both kids and adults - and in particular one for the dads / the mechanically inclined!
Combining old car parts with the sleek finish of laser-etched perspex was a challenge (but a super-satisfying one) as we overheard families commenting on the work as they walked the Tirama Mai trail.
Thanks to our collaborators - JB Fabrication, ETS, SOLED and James Franklin (our official pick-a-part tour guide..!)
