This event required high-end decor that combined organic forms with polished finishes to create a striking awards dinner environment.
We designed bespoke spiral shaped moulded perspex table decor with braided river details that wound gently along the form. This represented the iconic rivers of the Canterbury plains moving off in the distance to the Southern Alps.
Guests were welcomed to the space along a 20m custom carpet runner featuring tumbling watercolour illustrations of the liveliness and organic shapes of water movement. Above this a shoal of Inanga were suspended - guests were drawn into the space along the path of the migrating fish.
Edge-glow perspex trout flanked each bar area, with an elevated custom planter filled with lush New Zealand native foliage set above them. These draped bar areas also screened catering access points to create a seamless look to the room.
As a pre-function feature - an ice sculpture in the form of a mountain range engaged guests as they topped off their glasses with Scapegrace gin poured down the Southern Alps.
These decor elements supported the immersive AV concept projected around the room, and "created a cohesive and all-encompassing experience for guests.”
